Creating a healthy home.

So this is a kind of a question that I am hoping will start some conversations.

HOW DO YOU BELIEVE YOU CREATE A HEALTHY HOME?

My answer to this question is it is something that I work on everyday. I tell myself that these changes that I have made are for today and then I reset tomorrow morning. If I told myself the changes where forever I think I would be giving up.

Here are the changes I have made daily:

  • mediate every morning
  • Walk the dog 2 or 3 times a day. 10 minute walks
  • Following a diet plan made by a nutritionist for me
  • Drinking 2 litres or more of fluid a day
  • Have relaxation techniques
  • I follow a plan every day and have a purpose

I am eager to hear some input from everyone.

  1. Lisa – My wife and I walk three miles a day – or try to get over ten thousand steps each day – we are both retired. I drink water all day – I take my body wt. divide by two and those are my goal of water each day. We eat one main meal – around 4 or 5 pm. Consisting of at least four veggies – uncooked – one protein – 6 oz. and for me very little dressing. I have five small snacks – one every 2 1/2 to 3 hours throughout the day – nothing after 7pm. And each is between 100 and 150 cal. I have eliminated almost all sugar eating only natural ( fruits) and limit my carb intake. We take a whole food supplement – and plant-based algae omegas 3-6-7-8-9- I try not to eat sweets – hard for me but so far I am succeeding. My normal day begins at 5 am. when I write my daily blog – tend to emails – read online newspapers and my Facebook. We are both 72 and consider ourselves healthy – hope this helps you and keep up your blogging! Tom
