Welcome everybody to my website Living in Health
To give you a bit of information about me. I live in Keswick, Ontario Canada. I have lived in Canada for all of my life. I am 54 years old. I have been married for 30 years . I have one daughter who is married and has one daughter and a son.
I am a very transparent person I put everything out there about me. I started my word press account in 2019 and called it steeringthroughmentalhealth. I thought this was an appropriate title as I have suffered all my life with mental health and I still do today. For 12 years I worked in the social service field, until I needed to go off on a leave due to my mental health about 10 years ago. One of the ways that we treated my mental health for about 8 years was with ECT treatments. In the fall of 2020 I began to be hit by another health complication. I already have diabetes, high blood-pressure, high cholesterol, as well as mental health. In the fall of 2020 they began to explain to me that I am at about stage 2 or 3 kidney failure. With this news I first panicked. I then began to realize the only person that can help with this is me through my diet and my mindset. For that reason l redesigned the website to Living In Health. I try to talk about everything here. I am a mental health advocate, as well lifestyle advocate. I want to encourage everybody to be there own best advocates. We all have voices and they need to be heard.
Also I will talk about addiction as I abused narocitcs for many years. I have been in addictive recovery for over 3 years.
I am a strong believer in giving back to others what was so freely given to me.
