EMOTIONS

This is a topic that I have really started to look into. Let’s start with the definition.

Full Definition of emotion

1a: a conscious mental reaction (such as anger or fear) subjectively experienced as strong feeling usually directed toward a specific object and typically accompanied by physiological and behavioral changes in the bodyb: a state of feelingc: the affective aspect of consciousness FEELING

2a: EXCITEMENTbobsolete DISTURBANCE

For me I then get into the debate of why do I need to feel. Life would be so much easier if everything was just stuffed down. That sounds easy.

Why do feelings need to be acknowledged?
Becoming aware of your feelings, approaching them with love and kindness can help you to reduce anger. Often anger masks other feelings like hurt and sadness. Therefore, it is important to acknowledge all emotions as you experience them. Emotional awareness also helps you in your relationships with others,

What is emotional processing?

Emotional processing is defined as the modification of memory structures that underlie emotions. This model of anxiety reduction is partly based on Peter Lang’s model of bioinformational processing and Jack Rachman’s work on the concept of emotional processing.

How do you process your feelings?

On the surface, processing your feelings seems simple enough: Identify and label the feelings that are brewing, give yourself the time and space to feel how you feel without judgement, then decide how you’re going to handle your feelings — either by deciding how you’ll resolve the problem if you have control over it, or .

So for now I think that’s enough information to process. I do want to get into processing other people’s emotions in a relationship. I am the type of person that needs to stay focus. Working on my emotions and how I process them is most important.
