WEEKEND OVERVIEW

There are so many different lessons that I have learned this week. For me it is important to turn each lesson into a positive and learn from it.

  • Writing in my journal before I go to bed every night allows me to go to bed with an open mind. My mind is free to sleep. This works real well for me because it takes a while for me to process something. Going to bed at night and re-looking at it in the morning allows me to gather a new perspective on it sometimes. I have a fresher and clearer mind in the morning sometimes.
  • My morning routine of looking after me is something I need to do for me every morning. Over the last week I missed this routine all weekend and it shows. I am a lot more short fused. Also I tried to do it on autopilot one morning. Just going through the motions. As well this didn’t work because I was distracted and not listening to anything I was doing. I need to present in order for my morning routine to be effective.
  • My relationships have needed some help this week. I have been very short fused with those around me. They weren’t responding the way I wanted them to. I had to stop dead in my tracks and remember that relationships are a two way street and they deserve to be heard whether I agree or not.
  • Another thing that has really helped me is building in breaks for myself throughout the day.
  • My last key lesson for the week is forgiveness. Forgiving myself and those around me allows me not to live in negatively.
