My husband sometimes calls me naive because I tend to only look for the good in others. I go out of my way to find the positive. When possible I am friendly, courteous and helpful to my neighbours. Expecting nothing in return. The gifts of pleasure is returned it me ten fold in many different ways. Yesterday blew me away though. Yesterday in Canada we where hit by a major snowstorm. My husband was home from work. We were talking about going outside and shovelling the snow. Just then I heard a snowblower. I went to check and there was a young adult in the neighbourhood that I had never meet going from one driveway to the other snowplowing the driveways. Everybody in the neighbourhood was out doing what they could to help.
It did my heart good to see everybody out there helping each other. What a sign of community. Seeing the best in other people is what I try to base my life on.
Reach out and help someone today. No good deed goes unnoticed.
