ALL IN A DAYS WORK

Making the inner me calm and at peace is something that I aim for. I know there will be times when it is not possible, but I do try each and everyday.

Here are some tips that I have researched that are working for me most days:

  • Music is a big part of my day. I usually have it on all day while I work. The real good songs I am usually up dancing but nobody needs to see that.
  • I try my best to avoid caffeine after 10 am. I usually move on to water or sugar free juice.
  • I take regular breaks throughout the day to regroup. I will go out for a quick walk with the dog or mediate. I even find stopping to read some positive quotes is helpful.
  • Working from home whether you get paid or it is volunteer can be challenging when it comes to shutting it down. I only allow myself to put in 8 hours a day and then I put it away and not look at it. Even emails, I had to train myself not to check emails after hours. It is so tempting. Now some days I have to do zoom meetings at night so I just change around my hours on those days. Thank god I no longer punch a clock.
  • After a day on the computer I sometimes find I am completely drained. What I do then is turn off everything digital so nobody can find me and hunker down with a good book or t.v. show.
  • For me it is extremely important to listen to my body. If I am having a day where I am worn out, then I will listen to it and not do as much that day.
  • Having someone that I can share how my day was is important. That way I am not hanging onto frustrations.
  • I even have office rules to keep the atmosphere positive and it does help

I hope these Tips help. They are helping me each and everyday.
