PRODUCTIVITY

This is a question that I ask myself when I see myself getting caught up in being busy. I ask myself do you want to be busy or productive. I looked both of these words up so that I could do some research on which is better.

PRODUCTIVE- The quality or state of being

BUSY: sustaining much activity

For me when I look at this I would much rather be productive not busy. Do less but do it well. Instead of doing everything hoping something will stick do less. That way you can increase the quality.

How do I do this I am not sure but I am willing to try the following.

  • Limit your commitments to what you can handle. Until you are aware of what this is try only 2 commitments at a time.
  • Work with a team of people so you can divide up the tasks. If you are working on your own break it down into simple steps. That way you can see when you are progressing.
  • If you don’t have time to do something say .no. I had to learn that there are just as capable people out there to do the job.
  • Take as many breaks as you need and walk away from the task. This will help to keep your brain fresh and productive.
  • If you need more time for a task ask for more time.
  • Don’t sell yourself short.
