OVER THE PHONE APPOINTMENTS

This is something that I have battled with since the start of covid. I need some input from you all regarding this. I have reached the point where I am not sure what to do. Some of the dr’s have gone back to in person visits. The two that are most important to me haven’t though and that is my psychiatrist and my kidney specialist. The psychiatrist works out of the hospital and he says that he is waiting for the hospital restrictions to lift. I can’t do over the phone much longer as yes he calls every 3 weeks but I am missing that in person connection where I can be brutally honest. Things aren’t as terrific as the picture I paint for him. In person I can’t paint a fake picture I am brutally honest. I ask him every time when can I see you in person. Not sure what to do? Any feedback would be great. The Kidney specialist I have never met in person so we have no relationship. I am eager to see him in person so he can better see what is going on. He is not in the hospital, his office is still not doing in person appointments.

This is so frustrating as I feel like I am being hung out to dry by them both. Other specialists have stepped up where they can, but state to me all of the time I need to see both of these dr’s in person. I can’t wait for all restrictions to be lifted.

    1. Completely agree. I finally met one of my specialist in person last week for the first time since she started to treat me. It was proably been two years. There is a lot going on medically but I really like her.
